Snowflake and Taylor sit at the northern edge of this high-altitude landscape, where the residential grids of these established communities meet the drainages of the Mogollon Plateau. The southern portion of the map is dominated by the Sitgreaves National Forest, characterized by numerous livestock tanks and ephemeral washes such as Dodson Wash and Bull Ranch Draw. The terrain rises toward the south, transitioning from the level plains of Cactus Flat into the rugged breaks of Bull Hollow.
