1969 Map of Caddo North

USGS Topo · Published 1971

About this map

Kenefic and the northern outskirts of Caddo anchor this late 1960s survey of the Oklahoma landscape spanning the boundary of Atoka and Bryan counties. The area is defined by a dense network of watercourses, including Buffalo Creek, Caney Creek, and Cat Creek, which carve through the terrain near the prominent elevation of Buffalo Head. The infrastructure of the era is clearly visible through the paths of the Kansas Oklahoma and Gulf and the Missouri Kansas Texas railroads, which facilitated movement across these rural townships.
