2020 Map of Calamity Butte

USGS Topo · Published 2020

About this map

Malheur National Forest dominates this high-elevation region of the Oregon interior, where the boundary between Grant and Harney counties follows the crest of the watershed. Centered on the prominent peak of Calamity Butte, the landscape is defined by a dense network of mountain springs and seasonal drainages. High plateaus such as Jackknife Flat and Crane Flat interrupt the steep drainages of Calamity Creek and Brophy Creek, while Elbow Canyon cuts through the eastern reaches of the quadrangle.
