The Cabinet Mountains dominate this 1999 revision of the Sanders County landscape, where steep ridgelines and deep creek drainages define the wilderness of the Lolo National Forest. The Thompson River carves a significant path through the eastern half of the quadrangle, joined by tributaries such as Marten Creek and Little Rock Cr. This survey, updated with 1995 imagery, documents the complex topography of Deerhorn Mountain and the high elevation terrain of McCully Ridge before the land drops toward the Thompson Falls Plains in the south.
