
Callahan occupies a small clearing within a heavily dissected timber landscape in Douglas County, where the southern portion of the sheet reveals the Britt Nichols County Park. The terrain is defined by prominent north-south elevations such as Rattlesnake Ridge and the aptly named Bear Ridge, with dozens of drainages including Buffalo Creek and Camp Creek carving deep into the volcanic upland.
