The Madison River dominates the western portion of this Madison County landscape, carving through a valley floor flanked by high agricultural terraces. The settlement of Cameron serves as a central hub, situated just west of the prominent Cameron Bench and north of several gravel extraction sites. This 1988 provisional survey captures the transition between the riparian corridor and the rising benchland, where numerous waterways like Bear Creek, Burger Creek, and O'Dell Creek irrigate the surrounding terrain.
