Fremont National Forest dominates this landscape, where high-altitude flats and mountain peaks define the eastern Klamath County terrain. The S-Fork Sprague River and its tributaries, including Brownsworth Cr and Paradise Cr, carve through the southern portion of the quadrangle near Round Butte. The hydrologic importance of the area is evident in the presence of Campbell Reservoir and Oberchain Reservoir, which support the high-desert ecology.
