Sawtooth National Forest dominates this section of Camas County, defining a landscape of high peaks and drainage networks in the Idaho interior. The terrain is anchored by Cannonball Mtn and Liberal Mtn, with elevations falling away into a complex system of canyons and gulches. One of the most notable geothermal features, Elk Creek Hot Spring, is situated along the eastern edge of the quadrangle near E Fork Elk Cr.
