Cape Fair and the winding reaches of Table Rock Lake dominate this landscape along the border of Barry and Stone Counties. The terrain is defined by the deep dissection of the Ozark Plateau, where numerous hollows like Gravelly Hollow and Wildcat Hollow drain toward the lake's jagged shoreline. Much of the southern and central portion is protected within the Mark Twain National Forest, featuring the Piney Creek Wilderness Trail and several significant springs, including Siloam Spring and Marsh Spring.
