Caroga Lake and its sister bodies of water, East Caroga Lake and West Caroga Lake, anchor the southern half of this landscape in the southern Adirondack region. The settlement pattern here is defined by clusters of seasonal and year-round homes connected by routes like London Bridge Rd and Garlock Rd. To the east, the rural character of Bleecker Center is marked by a concentration of local history markers, including Bleecker Center Cemetery, Saint Josephs Cemetery, and Saint Johns Cemetery.

The northern portion of the quadrangle is largely a network of high peaks and water flows, dominated by Pigeon Mountain, Panther Mountain, and the Shaker Mountain area. These northern reaches are defined by numerous isolated water bodies such as County Line Lake and Fisher Vly Lake, alongside the distinct Frie Flow. The presence of the Mohawk Pathway Camp and landmarks like Camelhump and Hogback reflect the area's long-standing use for recreation and timber, while the drainage of West Stony Creek and the Holmes Lake Outlet carve through the wooded terrain.
