Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness and the Payette National Forest converge in this high-altitude interior of Idaho, where the landscape is defined by the steep drainage basins of Monumental Creek and its many tributaries. The area is a labyrinth of ridges and peaks, most notably Center Mtn and Snowslide Peak, connected by a network of historic forest routes including the Center Mountain Trail and Basin Trail.
