1967 Map of Cerro Pomo

USGS Topo · Published 1971

About this map

The Ramah Indian Reservation Boundary defines much of the land use in this western New Mexico landscape as it appeared in the late 1960s. The topography is dominated by prominent volcanic features and high-altitude plateaus, including the namesake Cerro Pomo and the expansive Cerros de las Mujeres. These volcanic formations are interspersed with natural and improved water sources critical for high-desert life, such as Sokno Lake and the Julian Windmill.
