Capitol Reef National Park occupies the southwestern corner of this Garfield County quadrangle, where the desert floor rises toward the broad expanse of Hall Mesa. The landscape is defined by its drainage systems, most notably Bullfrog Creek, which meanders south through the center of the sheet, carving a path between significant overlooks like Mid Point and Saleratus Point. The historical and modern transit route Burr Trl winds across the canyons and mesas, providing the primary access through this high-desert environment.
