Fishlake National Forest dominates this Millard County landscape, centered on the high point of Coffee Peak. The area is defined by a series of deep drainages including Wide Canyon, Maple Hollow, and Teeples Canyon, which cut through the high desert terrain. Water management is a primary feature of the human presence here, evidenced by the Pioneer Aqueduct Ditch winding along the western slopes to capture runoff from Pioneer Creek.
