Cold Spring Summit marks a high point in this remote corner of the Payette National Forest, where the complex drainage systems of Adams County bifurcate toward the E Fork Weiser River and the Little Salmon River. The 2020 landscape is defined by its network of Forest Service development roads, such as Nat For Dev Rd 150 and Nat For Dev Rd 487, which navigate the steep terrain between Ft Hall Ridge and Blue Bunch Ridge.
