Comstock and Rustad anchor this Clay County landscape during a period of modern rural stability. The settlement at Comstock is particularly detailed for researchers, showing the location of the Comstock Post Office and the nearby Comstock Cemetery along the banks of Wolverton Creek. This area of the Red River Valley is defined by a rigid grid of agricultural roads, including County Hwy-50 and a sequence of numbered avenues from 100th Ave S to 170th Ave S.
