Congress and its neighboring settlement Congress Junction occupy the high desert floor at the foot of the Date Creek Mountains. This 2011 survey captures the area’s network of roads and historical identifiers, including the Congress Post Office and the Congress Cemetery situated north of the main residential grid. The landscape is defined by the sharp transition from the flatlands near Piedmont to the rising elevations of the Weaver Mountains to the east.
