Copco Lake and the Iron Gate Reservoir dominate this 1980s landscape along the Klamath River in Siskiyou County. The small settlement of Copco sits near the river bend, supporting the infrastructure of the dams and the nearby Fall Creek Fish Hatchery. Much of the surrounding area is protected within the Klamath National Forest, characterized by steep terrain including Bloomingcamp Peak and Lennox Rock.
