Chugach National Forest land defines this portion of the Alaska coastline, where glacial activity and mountain ridges dictate the movement of water across the landscape. The Martin River Glacier and Slide Glacier dominate the northern terrain, feeding a network of drainages that flow south toward the coast. Significant water bodies like Deadwood Lake and Lake Tokun are caught between prominent geological formations, including Tokun Ridge and the heights of Kushtaka Mtn.
