Glacier National Park serves as the backdrop for this high-altitude survey of the Continental Divide. The landscape is defined by a dense network of alpine lakes and glacial cirques, including Oldman Lake, Pitamakan Lake, and the poetically named Seven Winds of the Lake. These water bodies feed the upper reaches of Dry Fork and the North Fork Cut Bank Creek. High passes such as Cut Bank Pass and Pitamakan Pass provide the primary transit points for backcountry travelers across the divide between Glacier and Flathead counties.
