Davidson Flats and the surrounding high country of Albany County define this corner of the Medicine Bow National Forest. The landscape is dominated by a complex network of drainages and peaks, including Britania Mtn and Pine Mtn, which frame the central plateau. High-altitude hydrology is a primary feature here, evidenced by the Sturgeon Number 1 Reservoir and numerous creeks such as Siebolt Cr, McFarlane Cr, and House Log Cr that cut through the terrain.
