Deboullie Pond and its neighboring glacial basins form the heart of this high-elevation water system in northern Aroostook County. The landscape is defined by the steep rises of Black Mtn and Whitman Mtn, which separate several concentrated pond groups including Pushineer Pond, Fish Pond, and Stink Pond. The hydrology here is dense and interconnected, with waters flowing through the Red River and a series of numbered streams like Threemile Brook, Fourmile Brook, and Fivemile Brook.
