1992 Map of Deerfield

USGS Topo · Published 1995

About this map

The Mississinewa River and Salamonie River define the agricultural landscape along the county line between Jay Co and Randolph Co in the late twentieth century. This area is heavily influenced by the Old Indian Treaty Boundary, which slashes diagonally across the regular PLSS grid, affecting property lines and road orientations near Boundary City. Several small settlements serve as local anchors, including Deerfield near the Mississinewa and New Pittsburg to the east.
