About this map

Suiattle River flows through the southern reach of this Cascades landscape, serving as a primary drainage for the surrounding high country. The area is defined by the high peaks of Mount Buckindy, Green Mountain, and Downey Mountain, with many glacial features and remote alpine basins holding Bench Lake and Pilot Lake. Human presence is largely concentrated in the river valley at the Downey Creek Campground and the Sulphur Hot Springs located just south of the creek.
