Dull and the surrounding ranchlands of La Salle County define this South Texas landscape. The area is characterized by an extensive network of ephemeral drainage and water management features essential for livestock in this semi-arid environment, including Cibolo Tank, Quintana Tank, and Rock Hill Tank. These artificial improvements sit alongside natural waterways such as Cibolo Cr and the Frio River, which meanders through the eastern portion of the quadrangle. The terrain transitions into the level expanse of Dull Flats near the center of the sheet.
