The Shoshone National Forest dominates this section of Park County, where the high peaks of the Absaroka Range drop toward the North Fork Shoshone River. This 2015 survey reveals a wilderness landscape defined by its complex drainage network, where the primary flow of Eagle Cr is joined by high-elevation tributaries such as Cloudburst Cr, Neva Cr, and Crouch Cr. Toward the southern edge of the quadrangle, the terrain levels out at Eagle Creek Meadows, a significant topographical break from the steep slopes that enclose Paradise Valley.
