Eagle Point and Haystack Butte anchor this high plains landscape along the border of Golden Valley and Stillwater Counties. The terrain is deeply incised by a series of drainage systems, most notably Painted Robe Creek and Gooseneck Creek, which carve winding paths through the elevation. These watercourses, including Shed Gulch Creek and Hop Creek, define the movement of the land and dictate the placement of ranch roads and an early Transmission Line crossing the territory.
