Boise National Forest encompasses the entirety of this high-elevation terrain, where the watershed divides between the Boise and Payette river systems. The topographic detail highlights the prominent Ten Mile Ridge which arcs across the western section, separating the drainage of Tenmile Cr from the lower basins. To the east, the S Fork Payette River flows through Big Meadows, a rare flat expanse in an otherwise vertical landscape dominated by peaks such as Edaho Mtn and Bugle Mtn.
