Negro Gap and the surrounding terrain of the Edwards Plateau dominate this area along the Concho and Menard County line. The landscape is defined by a network of drainage systems, including Celery Creek, Fitzgerald Creek, and Live Oak Creek. A notable piece of 20th-century water management is visible at the Soil Conservation Service Site 29 Reservoir in the northern portion of the quadrangle.
