Yakima Ridge and the Rattlesnake Hills frame the high desert landscape of central Washington in this 2013 survey. The terrain is defined by dramatic elevation changes, notably at Elephant Mtn and the steep walls of Kittitas Canyon. At the base of these heights, the Moxee Valley supports the small settlements of Artesian and Moxee, where the local community is anchored by the Holy Rosary Cem.
