St. Francisville occupies the southwestern corner of this survey, positioned near the bank of the Mississippi River at the edge of West Feliciana Parish. The landscape is defined by the deep dissection of the terrain into numerous creek valleys and bayous, including the W Fork Grants Bayou, Alexander Cr, and Thompson Creek which forms the eastern boundary. The settlement pattern is largely rural, clustered around points like Elm Park and Starhill, with the latter situated at a bend in the highway near the Starhill Cem.
