Emigrant Springs and its surrounding water sources define this high-elevation corner of Elko County, where the landscape is marked by deep drainage systems and seasonal waterways. The drainage of Rock Spring Creek flows southwest from the highlands, joined by the nearby waters of Cold Springs and Rock Spring. These vital points of relief served as critical landmarks in an arid environment, long before modern infrastructure reached the area.
