Escalante Forks sits at the confluence of several watercourses in this high-desert landscape of Western Colorado. The region is defined by prominent landforms such as Long Mesa and Steamboat Mesa, which tower over the deep drainage systems of Little Dominguez Creek and the North Fork Escalante Creek. This 2011 survey documents a network of primitive roads and trails, including 51.55 RD and the Brushy Ridge Trl, which provide access to localized landmarks like Steamboat Spring and The Lake.
