Siuslaw National Forest encompasses the majority of this coastal Oregon landscape, where the rugged terrain is defined by the complex shorelines of two major water bodies. To the north, Siltcoos Lake contains Booth Island and Reed Island, while the southern portion of the sheet is dominated by the intricate arms of Tahkenitch Lake. The transition between these lakes is marked by dense ridges like Booth Ridge and narrow waterways such as Fivemile Cr.
