Fonts Point overlooks the dramatic badlands and desert floor of the Borrego Valley in this 2015 topographic study. The landscape is defined by its network of dry desert washes and named canyons, such as Coachwhip Canyon and Rattlesnake Canyon, which drain the eastern slopes of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The Borrego Salton Seaway cuts an east-west path across the center of the sheet, providing the primary access route through this arid terrain.
