Four Horns Lake dominates this northern Montana landscape, situated at the boundary of Glacier Co and Pondera Co. This hydrologic network is defined by the Four Horns Outlet Canal and the winding course of Blacktail Cr, showing the critical role of water management in this high-plains environment. The terrain is deeply incised by numerous coulees, including Rocky Ridge Coulee and Jackson Coulee, which dictate the local travel routes.
