Frazier Wells serves as a central landmark within the Hualapai Indian Reservation, situated where the northern plateau meets the broad sweep of Aubrey Valley. The landscape is defined by its seasonal water management, illustrated by a network of tanks and springs such as Youth Camp Tank, Albers Tank, and Pine Spring. These water sources were vital for sustaining the area's residents and livestock in a high-desert environment. To the north, the Thornton Lookout Tower provides a vantage point over the converging drainage systems of Thornton Wash and Albers Wash. The presence of numerous named tanks and isolated wells, including Black Tank and XI Tank, reflects a pattern of land use focused on survival and resource management on the reservation during the mid-1960s.
