The Buckhorn Mountains and the northern reaches of the Hieroglyphic Mountains dominate this 1964 field-checked survey of the Yavapai and Maricopa county line. The landscape is defined by a network of drainage systems including Garfias Wash, Morgan City Wash, and the deep cut of Hell Canyon. Scattered mining activity is evident at the St Anthony Mine and the Morgan City Mine, with the Big Reef Mill located further west in the Rincon Basin.
