Glen Elder sits at the northern edge of this Mitchell County landscape, positioned just above the expansive waters of Waconda Lake. The southern reaches of the lake dominate the northern topography, where the Glen Elder Dam Rd and Great Spirit Trl cross the shoreline. The terrain south of the water is defined by a dense network of creek drainages, including Little Walnut Cr, Walnut Cr, and Antelope Cr, which carve through the plains toward the Solomon River.
