Harmon serves as the central point of this Western Oklahoma survey, situated in a landscape defined by the drainage networks of the Canadian River watershed. The settlement is anchored by the Harmon Cem to its north, a key landmark for genealogical research in this part of Ellis County. The area’s geography is shaped by the convergence of several seasonal watercourses, including Turkey Cr and S Turkey Cr, which flow through the southern portion of the quadrangle. To the north, Boggy Cr and N Persimmon Cr carve across a grid of section-line roads, such as n1930 RD and e0550 RD. This 2012 edition illustrates a rural environment where the rigid rectangular survey system dictates the movement of travel through the creek-dissected plains.
