Bridger Jack Mesa and the prominent uplift of Harts Point define this high-elevation landscape in San Juan County. The terrain is deeply incised by a network of drainages, most notably Indian Cr and Lavender Cr, which have carved out dramatic features like Lavender Canyon and the isolated plateau known as The Island. Access through this complex topography is limited to rugged corridors such as Beef Basin Rd and Lavender Creek Road, which follow the natural contours of the canyons.
