Hawley Lake and the high-elevation terrain of the White Mountains define this landscape on the Fort Apache Reservation. The area is characterized by a complex network of canyons and high ridges, including Lame Deer Canyon and the prominent Aspen Ridge. Water resources are abundant throughout the quadrangle, from the larger bodies of Christmas Tree Lake and Earl Park Lake to the headwaters of the E Fork White River.
