Heber-Overgaard sits atop the Mogollon Plateau, representing a modern chapter of these high-country settlements within the Sitgreaves National Forest. The landscape is a network of arid drainage systems and managed water resources, defined by numerous stock tanks such as Stolen Tank, Sandy Tank, and the Heber Trick Tank. The transition from the more traditional township of Heber to the residential expansion in Overgaard is clearly visible through the dense road network of Mogollon Dr and Cedar Ridge Dr.
