The Red Rock River meanders through the southern half of this Montana landscape, cutting a wide path through the high-elevation basin of Beaverhead County. The terrain is defined by dramatic drainages and gulches, most notably Henry Gulch and the adjacent Centennial Gulch, which feed into the primary river system from the south. To the north, the watershed is shaped by the headwaters of Basin Cr and Little Basin Cr, showing the complex hydraulic network of this interior mountain region. Human infrastructure is concentrated along the Lima Dam Rd corridor, which traces the northern bank of the river, while a modern Interchange in the northwest corner indicates the area's connection to larger regional transport routes. This 2017 survey reflects the contemporary state of these public and private land divisions within the Public Land Survey System, including portions of t13s r7w and t14s r7w.
