Heppner serves as the focal point of this Morrow County landscape, situated at the confluence of Willow Cr and Hinton Cr. The town's grid is constrained by the rising hills of the Columbia Basin, with Masonic Cem overlooking the settlement from the south. To the southeast, the Willow Cr Reservoir manages the flow of the creek as it exits the deep drainage of Balm Fork. The surrounding terrain is defined by a dense network of steep-walled canyons, including Fuller Canyon and Shobe Canyon, which dictate the paths of rural routes like Stock Drive Rd and Clarks Canyon Rd. This survey captures the modern ranching and agricultural infrastructure of the region, from the Six Dollar Canyon to the headwaters of Rhea Cr in the southwest corner.
