N Fork Whetstone Cr and the S Fork Whetstone Cr converge in this dissected plateau region of Gregory County, carving a network of drainages across the landscape. The area is defined by a sparse rural road network that follows both section lines and the natural contours of the terrain, including Roadkill Dr and the creatively named Turkey Vulcher Rd. These local corridors provide access to the various tributaries of the Whetstone system, such as Sand Cr and Petes Cr.
