Grand Canyon National Park occupies the southern half of this high-desert landscape, where the northern rim begins its dramatic descent. The northern portion is dominated by the high arid reaches of the Kanab Plateau, a region defined by an intricate network of drainage systems and isolated water catchments. The primary drainage, Robinson Wash, and its tributary, N Fork Robinson Wash, cut through the terrain toward the south, eventually feeding into the massive Hundred and Fifty Mile Canyon.
