French Corner serves as the primary named point of human activity on this high-desert landscape in northern Payette County. The terrain is defined by a network of drainage systems, most notably Big Willow Creek and Sucker Creek, which cut through the basin floor. At the center of the survey, water management is evident through a series of small-scale infrastructure points including Bettis Dam and the numbered reservoirs at Sulphur Gulch.
