Hope serves as the primary settlement hub in this southern Minnesota landscape, anchored by the Hope Post Office and the recreation area at Hope Oak Knoll Camp Ground. The terrain is defined by a grid of agricultural roads and the north-south course of the Straight River, which meanders through the eastern portion of the quadrangle. To the west, the Little Le Sueur River begins its course, while the southern landscape is dotted by Lonergan Lake and Beaver Lake, the latter controlled by the Beaver Lake Dam.
