Cache National Forest encompasses much of this high-elevation landscape along the borders of Weber, Rich, and Morgan counties. The 1991 edition captures a network of canyons and high ridges, where the headwaters of the South Fork Ogden River gather from sources like Wonder Spring Fork. The terrain is defined by dramatic topographic features such as Squaw Butte, Woodruff Ridge, and the eponymous Horse Ridge.
